Glendale’s professional tree inspections and surveys are designed to help landowners minimise the risk of injury caused by trees on their property. They are carried out by our vegetation management surveyors whose skills and experience lies in their ability to make decisions about vegetation work based on risk, legislative compliance, biodiversity, topography, safety and efficiency.

Trees provide a host of benefits to any outdoor area, but they also require effective management. We conduct our inspections with two specific goals in mind: to identify any potential hazards or problems which may compromise your safety, your business or your buildings and to ensure, where practicable, the health of the tree. A professional tree inspection is an essential step in any property risk assessment.

Our qualified arboricultural surveyors can visit your property and advise you on which trees will require inspections as a matter of priority. This judgement is usually based on the plants’ proximity to nearby buildings, roads and other structures. Glendale’s talented team will then examine the identified trees in great detail, following a prescriptive and industry-specified methodology before suggesting an appropriate course of action in each case. We would, of course, recommend a full tree survey for each asset over time in order to provide you with a complete picture of the health of your treescape and a more accurate management plan.

Glendale can help you to ensure your grounds are safe to enjoy and that your investment is protected against damage caused by falling trees. For more information about our tree inspection services, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01257 460461.

Our inspections are carried out by only trained, qualified and experienced arboricultural surveyors with a real passion for trees. We conduct each tree inspection to British Standard BS5837, illustrating our expertise and in-depth knowledge of the industry.

Glendale can effectively identify any potential hazards related to your tree’s size, location and health. If your tree is in poor condition and cannot be saved, we will recommend it be taken down. If its condition can be improved, we will likewise advise on a programme of maintenance that may reduce the risk the plant poses to your property.

As a landowner, you are responsible for maintaining the trees on your property. This can be vital if a tree falls completely or partially, potentially causing injury or damage to property or vehicles. Glendale can conduct professional tree inspections, providing in-depth evaluations of tree health and condition. Once the inspection is complete, we will recommend the most appropriate course of action to mitigate the risks and promote the health of the tree.

If your plants are unhealthy for any reason, we will diagnose the problem and advise you on the next steps. This may be to prune the tree to reduce its weight, to mark it for observation or to remove it from your premises. It is always better to cut a tree down safely than it is to wait for it to fall.

It is not always obvious if a tree is healthy or unhealthy. Glendale’s experts can take the guesswork out of tree health, using their training and experience to find early warning signs, often before problems arise.

By identifying these issues, we can help to avoid trees falling unexpectedly. This can be a key factor when conducting risk assessments for insurance purposes. Liability following accidents can prove enormously damaging for businesses; trust the experts at Glendale to help protect your assets through accident prevention.

Glendale’s arboricultural surveyors recommend trees are checked once every three years to assess their health, safety and overall condition. Trees should be checked, at the very least, before or directly after major storms to ensure they do not present any immediate hazards to either people or property.

As trained and experienced arborists, Glendale can also act upon any recommendations made following your tree inspection. This full service means we can address any concerns you may have within a short time frame and reduces the requirement for return visits. In addition, when on site, our arborists are likely to pick up issues, particularly if they are conducting aerial works, and recommend an inspection with our specialists.

We are happy to discuss and provide no-obligation quotes ahead of any work. As there is a particular duty of care regarding trees alongside highways, our team will prioritise these specimens and avoid conducting inspections where they are not necessary. We achieve this by providing a detailed management plan drawn up using a simple RAG status. This approach helps to keep costs down and makes the prospect more manageable.

Please note that any identified veteran trees may require special consideration and a more detailed approached to planned management. Veteran trees are defined as any specimen that is of interest biologically, culturally or aesthetically due to its age, size or condition. Any work involving protected specimens usually requires permission from the local authorities and an issued license. For more information about veteran trees, please click here. Please contact the Glendale team for assistance and advice.

We offer 3 levels of tree risk assessment, providing a range of service to best meet your requirements:

  • Level 1 – a basic visual assessment which can be used to identify obvious issues and high-risk areas across your property. Few details are recorded for each tree, but a large area can be evaluated in a small amount of time.
  • Level 2 – a more detailed assessment which will include an inventory of each tree, searching for obvious defects on the plant and in the immediate surrounding area. This level can identify trees which require more extensive evaluation.
  • Level 3 – the most detailed assessment, a level 3 might include climbing inspections, the use of precision instruments and documentation with images and descriptions. This level allows us to recommend specific actions to best manage the trees located on your property.

Glendale’s expert arboricultural surveyors can attend your premises and conduct professional tree inspections at your convenience. We can help you develop an effective risk management assessment of any trees near to buildings and other structures, as well as any trees that may be causing you specific concern.

Please contact our friendly team using the form below. Fill in your details and we will arrange a free, no-obligation quote for a fully qualified tree inspection.
