On 29 June the London Green Cycling Club (LGCC) launched their bid to ride 500km in four days and raise £40,000 for charities across the capital.
The LGCC, which has received backing from the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, began a dramatic and challenging cycling route from York to London on Thursday 30 July. The combined distance of the riders will be the equivalent to travelling from London to Mumbai.
The riders are raising money for a variety of social and environmental causes.
Adrian Wickham, regional director for the South East, comments: “Glendale is delighted to sponsor the London Green Cycling Club’s 500km charity bike ride. We aim to enrich the lives of those we serve by instilling pride, passion and performance throughout the workplace. It is these attributes that shine through in the London Green Cycling Club’s efforts to raise money for so many worthy causes through this mighty challenge.”
