Glendale provides grounds maintenance to one of the UK’s largest schools

National green services company, Glendale, has been awarded a contract to maintain the grounds at the Nottingham Academy.

The Nottingham Academy spans three sites in Nottingham and can cater for up to 3,600 pupils aged three to 19.  It is part of the Greenwood Dale Foundation Trust group of 27 academies.

Glendale will provide grounds maintenance services to the Academy including gang mowing, line marking, shrub and hedge cutting and weed control.

Andy Trott, contract manager for Glendale, comments: “The contract required an incredibly quick startup in order to ensure standards were maintained as soon as possible and we have been on site for over two weeks now.  We are looking forward to working with the Nottingham Academy and delivering high-quality grounds maintenance services.”

David Tungate, Principal of the Nottingham Academy, said: “The Nottingham Academy serves the communities of Sneinton, Bakersfield, Mapperley and St. Ann’s and we take pride in ensuring that our grounds are well maintained.  We are confident that Glendale will maintain the green environment at each site to the highest standard.”

The contract began in April 2015 and will last for two years.
