Glendale is delighted to announce the award of a contract to maintain over 200 sites in North and West Dorset.
Commencing on the 1st May 2015 for three-years with the option of a further three-year extension this contract supports the establishment of Glendale’s planned new office in Blandford Forum, Dorset.
The contract will require the green space specialist to carry out routine ground maintenance services and will employ up to seven staff. The use of the Glendale Live online reporting system is a unique element of the contract along with a commitment to extending the SW Academy which will see Glendale employing two apprentices on the contract working in partnership with The Groundwork Trust and Spectrum’s Pathway Programme.
The Pathway Programme offers training and work experience to unemployed people and will target Spectrum residents and the Groundwork Trust scheme offers tailored training to NVQ level 2 in Horticulture as well as additional industry certificates over an 18-24 month scheme.
Jim Strang, General Manager for Grounds Maintenance in the Southwest commented “The team is delighted to have been awarded this contract and extend our services into Dorset. The contract will offer improved standards and employment opportunities to the community”.
