Glendale grows its landscaping presence in the South West

Green services specialist, Glendale, has grown its BALI registered landscaping teams in the South West in response to increased demand and new contract awards in the region.

Don Holmes, who has worked with Glendale since 2008, has transferred to the company’s Exeter office in order to oversee its landscaping services.

Don managed contracts in North Devon and Somerset before moving. He worked for The Landscape Group, Chenies Landscapes and at Bodnant Gardens in Wales before joining Glendale.

Don will manage all of the landscaping contracts in the region and oversee the planned expansion of the landscaping business in the South West.

Landscape estimator Mike Dennys takes up the role of senior landscape estimator. He has worked for Glendale since 2006 and, with over 30 years of landscaping experience in the region, is the most experienced landscape estimator/manager in the South West.

Vicky Ebbrell, who joined the company in a sales position in 2007, has been promoted to landscape manager. She has developed her career with Glendale moving from sales to a supervisory position. She will now be responsible for the managing of landscaping installation projects onsite.

Vicky has gained qualifications in horticulture with Glendale and is currently completing the company’s management development programme.

Glendale’s landscaping team based in Exeter have recently been awarded several large, high-quality projects carrying out soft landscaping to residential, commercial and leisure developments for some of the largest construction companies in the UK.

Terry Doyle, regional director for the South West, comments: “The expansion of our landscaping business is a direct response to the fantastic efforts put in by the team over the last few years, with clients welcoming our tailored approach to each project with fully uniformed, directly employed teams who are dedicated to providing excellent customer care and service. The economy in the construction sector has been turbulent, so for Glendale to witness continued growth in the sector demonstrates the value for money that our teams offer.”
