The Watford arboriculture division of national green spaces company, Glendale, has gained ARB Approved Contractor status.
The accreditation, which is administered by The Arboriculture Association, the governing body for tree work nationally, is recognised across the UK as a benchmark for good practice.
To attain the status, Glendale was required to undergo a rigorous process which included a series of site inspections. It was also assessed on its standard of work and tree knowledge, health and safety practices and official procedures.
After passing all its inspections, Glendale will now be subject to part reassessment every few years and in full every four years.
John McKenna, Glendale’s operations manager for London and the South East said: “It’s becoming increasingly important for arboriculture businesses to have this status for clients in both in the public and private sector, so for us, it was a natural progression to apply for it.
“We believe it is a testament to the hard work, skills and professionalism within our arboriculture team in Watford that we have been successful in attaining it. We hope that it will enable us to build on our existing reputation and help us achieve further growth in the sector.”
