National green services provider Glendale has appointed Peter Jackson as its new director of vegetation management.
Peter will be responsible for developing the company’s position within the Planned Vegetation Management (PVM) sector. PVM involves control of vegetation around critical infrastructures such as roads, waterways, railways and overhead electric lines.
Glendale has identified the PVM sector as adding significant strengths to its existing business model and represents a major opportunity fo growth and development.
Peter, who has 30 years’ experience in the arboriculture sector, re-joins Glendale after two years working in business consultancy. He was previously regional director at a leading vegetation management company UPM Tilhill.
Alex Paterson, managing director at Glendale, said: “Peter has extensive experience and a true understanding of the industry, making him the perfect fit for Glendale. His expertise in business development will also stand him in good stead and will establish the company as a significant provider of vegetation management services in the UK.”
Peter added: “This is an exciting challenge for me and I’m looking forward to developing sector leading teams and processes.”
