Green space management company Glendale has named 30 of its employees under 30-years-old who are being rewarded for their contribution to the organisation.
This is the first year of a new, annual initiative which aims to recognise deserving employees at the organisation who will go on to shape the future of the company.
Glendale’s 30 under 30 includes managers, supervisors, team leaders and operatives countrywide who have demonstrated passion, imagination and expertise in their chosen fields, from marketing to finance, arboriculture to grounds maintenance.
As part of the initiative, each of the 30 rising stars has received a tailored personal development plan that will be reviewed annually and will be fast-tracked through external qualifications and internal training, via Glendale’s management development programme, in order to ensure they achieve their full potential. Each individual has also been allocated a mentor who will support them in the accomplishment of their goals.
Tony Hewitt, executive chairman of the Parkwood Group and managing director of Glendale, comments: “Glendale continues to be successful in an ever-changing marketplace and it’s clear that the foundation for this success is down to the hard working and dedicated individuals we employ, who are committed to their roles and to Glendale.
“We have a large group of employees who, at under the age of 30, have already achieved so much with the organisation, and have the potential for the future. This has inspired me to develop the Glendale 30 under 30 initiative in order to recognise and celebrate the rising stars who work for Glendale.”
Mark Pigden, contract manager at Harrow Arb and one of Glendale’s 30 under 30 rising stars, comments: “I feel a great sense of appreciation to be one of Glendale’s 30 under 30, I think it’s a good way of acknowledging and developing those with potential in the company. It’s nice to know that the hard work I’ve put in has been noticed and is appreciated, and I’m looking forward to building on my knowledge and experience with the organisation.”
